The 14-inch pipeline will run 520 kilometres and require three pumping stations. There is some speculation that the project will be split into different packages to make it more accessible to local companies, which have been asked to form into groups before bidding.
NIOEC is the engineering arm of National Iranian Oil Refining & Distribution Company (NIORDC). However, National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC)is also understood to be involved in the project.
