The UNDPs Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People (PAPP) in early September released initial findings of an assessment of damages in Gaza.The estimated total cost of damages incurred from 26 June-28 August as a result of the Israeli military operation was $46 million. The initial damages per sector are $8 million to municipal infrastructure, $8 million to energy, $23.5 million to agriculture, $2 million to housing, $4.2 million to public buildings and $300,000 to industry. The figures do not reflect the estimated costs for the required repairs (MEED 11:8:06).
