Water supplies needed for Badra oil field
Russias Gazprom has issued a tender for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a new water supply facility at the Badra oil field in the south of Iraq.
The Russian firm has set a deadline of 6 November for the submission of bids.
The UKs Mott MacDonald is the project management consultant for the Badra fields EPC projects. Gazprom re-tendered an estimated $200m storage tank facility deal earlier in October.
Gazprom leads the development of the 3-billion-barrel Badra oil field along with Turkeys TPAO, Malaysias Petronas and South Koreas Kogas. The group expects to start production at a new 170,000 barrel a day (b/d) central processing facility by the end of 2013.
