Habib Fekih, President of Airbus in the Middle East, said the European plane-maker has won 65% of new aircraft orders from Gulf carriers so far this year, reported Khaleej Times. Fekih also said GCC sales have helped boost Airbus ahead of its rival Boeing in global sales of aircraft. He vowed Airbus would sustain its lead on the back of growth in the region's low cost carrier market.
