The US’ GE has signed an estimated $141m contract with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) to provide services and maintenance for the Riyadh Power Plant 12 (PP12) in Saudi Arabia.
The service contract for the gas turbines will cover a period of nine years. GE will provide maintenance and services for eight turbines it previously supplied for the PP12 power plant.
In May 2012, the local Saudi Arabian Bemco signed a SR4.7bn ($1.27bn) contract with SEC to build the original 2,175MW PP12 plant.
