Google Inc. and Taiwan-based Asustek are set to launch a 7" co-branded tablet PC as early as May, with the model targeting Amazon's Kindle Fire and to be priced at $199-249, Digitimes has reported, citing industry sources. The co-branded tablet PC is expected to be the first using Google Play Store, the sources noted. Google considered HTC and Acer, before deciding to proceed with Asustek "because of its Original Design Manufacture (ODM) capability and good product quality," the sources said.
