Overview

The Ministry of Hajj is expanding the mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Covering an area of 300,000 square metres, the expansion borders the mosque and Second Ring Road to the north, Masjid Al-Haram Street to the east and Jabal Al Kaaba Street to its west.

Once completed, the expansion will accommodate 500,000 worshipers.

The scope of work includes the mosque, a 12,000 square metre, four storey courtyard and associated facilities.
