Gulf Contracting wins Doha International Airport work

The local Gulf Contracting Company has been awarded contracts estimated to be worth QR600m ($163m) at Doha International Airport.

The works involve the construction of a hotel, a transit terminal, a communications centre, a transmission tower and six new aircraft gates.

The work will provide additional capacity at the airport which will remain Qatar’s main airport until the first phase of the New Doha International Airport project opens in 2011 (MEED 14:9:08).
