The MEED Projects index of schemes planned or under way in the Gulf remained stable in the second week of the new year, registering only 0.1 per cent growth.
At $1.79trillion, the index is up 33.5 per cent on the previous year.
Following a 15.4 per cent increase in the total value of Iranian projects in the first week of 2008, the figure fell back to 0.5 per cent.
This week, it was Oman that recorded the highest growth rate, at 1.1 per cent.
