Despite a 4 per cent fall in the value of Qatari projects, the overall index was up by 0.3 per cent on the week.

With the exception of Bahrain, all the other Gulf states registered growth, with Iraq recording the highest at 4.4 per cent, followed by Saudi Arabia at 2.1 per cent.

Year on year, the MEED Projects index is up by 42 per cent.
