The MEED Projects tracker of construction projects showed a 1.2 per cent increase in the second week of June to $2.24 trillion.
The GCC market continues to edge towards the $2 trillion mark, increasing by $16.5bn to $1.95 trillion.
The star performer was Qatar, where the total value of projects increased by almost $10bn to $204bn, reflecting Doha’s drive to expand the country’s infrastructure and develop its industrial base.
