Gulf Projects 18 August 2008

24 August 2008
The MEED Projects index was virtually unchanged at $2.4 trillion in the seven days to 18 August in a sign that the summer lull has finally arrived in the Gulf.

In an exceptionally quiet week, the biggest changes took place in Oman and Qatar, which both saw modest declines in the total value of projects planned or under way.

Elsewhere, Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE saw marginal increases in their project portfolios, while Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia experienced no change at all.
