The value of projects planned or under way in the Gulf rose by 1.7 per cent in the week to 20 November, according to MEED Projects.
The biggest increase recorded was in Kuwait, where the project portfolio rose by $13bn to $275bn.
Kuwait has the highest percentage of projects in the Gulf in the planning stage, reflecting the slow pace of implementation. This could change over the next six months, with bidding now in full swing for several major projects.
