After weeks of strong growth, the MEED Projects index registered a slowdown in the week ending 21 April, with
the total value of projects planned or under way in the Gulf edging up by just 0.7 per cent to $2.13 trillion.

The GCC’s smallest projects market, Oman, was the main driver behind the rise, with the sultanate recording a 7.5 per cent increase in its projects portfolio. Year on year, the overall index is up by 50 per cent.
