The value of projects planned or under way in the Gulf rose to $2.01 trillion in the third week of March, according to the MEED Projects index.
The index was up by a modest 0.4 per cent on the previous week. The Omani and Iranian project markets drove the increase, growing at 2.8 and 2.6 per cent each. The value of projects in Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia remained unchanged, while Bahrain and UAE had a drop in the value of their portfolio of projects.
