Lebanese soldier reportedly wounded in border clash

Lebanese troops and soldiers from the Israeli Defence Force have exchanged fire during a clash on the border between the two countries, according to local media reports.

The shooting took place in the early morning on Monday 1 August.

According to Lebanese reports, fire was exchanged after Israeli troops entered Lebanese territory. IDF sources have said that the clash occurred beyond the border in enclave of land under Israeli sovereignty.

There are unconfirmed reports that a Lebanese soldier was injured in the attack.
