Position: President, Middle East, India & Africa (MEIA) 

Biography: Hani el-Assaad was appointed president, Middle East, India & Africa (MEIA), in March 2012.

Prior to this Hani was regional vice president, sales and relationship management SITA, covering the Middle East and North Africa, a role he held from 2006.

Hani joined SITA in 1995 as sales manager for the Middle East and ascended from regional sales director in 1998 to vice president business management network services for Middle East and Africa.

Hani has a strong background in sales, business finance and marketing. He holds a masters degree in economics from St Joseph University, Beirut and an MBA from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), Montreal.

He is based in Beirut, Lebanon.
