Dubai Electricity & Water Authority will issue tenders for the engineering, procurement and construction contract for phase I and II of its planned power and desalination Station P before the end of the year.
Bidders will have five months to submit their offers and an award is expected in August 2008. Located at Hassyan, the plant will have a total capacity of 3,000 MW and 200 million gallons a day of desalinated water. It will be commissioned in 2011/12.
