Hill to serve as construction manager for new National Museum of Qatar

US-based Hill International has been awarded a four-year contract worth approximately QR82.7m ($22.7m) from Qatar Petroleum, on behalf of the Qatar Museums Authority, to provide construction management services in connection with the new National Museum of Qatar.

“We are honored to have been chosen to assist with the construction of this iconic monument to the nation and people of Qatar,” said Raouf S Ghali, president of the project management group (international) at Hill. The existing Qatar National Museum is currently closed and the new museum, which is already under construction, is scheduled to open in 2015.

Hill recently was selected to serve as the project and construction manager for Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company’s (QIMC) new $137m headquarters in Doha. The proposed tower will be located on the Corniche Road and will replace QIMC’s present headquarters.
