Hotel bomb in Baghdad

A bomb exploded at Baghdad hotel on 25 September killing one and injuring at least two. The blast occurred at the Aike Hotel in the centre of the capital, which is being used by members of US television network NBC. The dead man is thought to be a Somali security guard.

The bomb had been placed in a hut housing a hotel generator and was detonated at about 0700 local time. Flying glass injured one foreigner, Canadian soundman David Moodie. (MEED 24:9:03).
