Description: With an estimated $14.7bn capital cost, the Al-Raha Beach Development is one of the most prestigious projects in Abu Dhabi. Comprising 8 kilometres of water frontage over 7,000 hectares, it was designed to be the great Arabian water city and home to 120,000 people. The development consists of mixed residential, retail, recreational and commercial-use properties, and includes marinas and canal developments that integrate the site with Abu Dhabis sea-going culture. Aecom was responsible for the design and site supervision of all civil infrastructure works. The consultant commenced work in 2005 and finalised the project in April 2014.
