Kuwait's Central Tenders Committee has revealed that a consortium led by South Korea's Hyundai Engineering and Construction has made the lowest bid of $2.6bn for a long-delayed causeway project, the Peninsula has reported. The causeway, which is to be named after late emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah, will link the capital Kuwait City with the northern Subbiya area which is where the Silk City project is to be located.
