Kuwait-based Action Hotels Co has announced the opening of the second property by Accor's economy hotel brand, ibis, in the Sharq district. The newly-opened 160-room ibis Sharq is part of the Action Hotels' region-wide mid-scale hospitality portfolio. The group's Middle East expansion plan includes adding more than 2,000 mid-scale rooms over the next two years. Six of the new properties are to carry the ibis flag, bringing the total of ibis properties in the Action cluster to nine.
