International Business Machines is reportedly in talks to buy Sun Microsystems, the Wall Street Journal has reported. The paper quotes sources who say that no agreement has been reached so far, but if the deal does go through, IBM is likely to pay at least $6.5bn in cash to acquire Sun, which would translate into a premium of about 100% over Sun's closing share price Tuesday.
