If you get a low bid without the level of innovation put into the process, the quality of the building will struggle, says Zain Qureshi, managing director, head of real estate finance and advisory at Mashreq. If the quality of the building struggles, so will the repayment capability of the project. And then it goes back to the sustainability and viability of the region itself. We at Mashreq, as a lender, get affected because our payments get delayed and the viability of these projects is far worse than we expect it to be. Source: Mashreq Live Broadcast
