Both crew members were killed in the UPS cargo plane that crashed on Friday
Investigators have found one of the flight recorders from the UPS cargo plane that crashed on 3 September at a UAE military base in Dubai.
The authorities are still searching for the second recorder.
The Boeing 747 plane had just taken off from Dubai International airport and was flying to the UPS hub in Cologne before it experienced technical difficulties. Some reports say that a fire had broken out in the cockpit of the plane. Both crew members were killed in the crash.
A UPS statement said that the plane was just three years old and up to date on maintenance.
Eyewitnesses watched the plane crash near Dubai Silicon Oasis and then burst into flames. Early news reports suggested that the plane had crashed on Emirates Road.
