Company launches contract to install production units

National Iranian South Oil Company (Nisoc) has launched an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to revamp its Aghajari oil field.

The project will help raise production at the field by 300,000 barrels a day (b/d) after the installation of two new production units of 150,000 b/d each.

Nisoc has issued two packages to build oil production units, boosting stations and pipelines. The state energy company requires potential bidders to register for prequalification by the end of September.

Nisoc expects to issue two additional packages covering a natural gas liquids plant and a clean fuels unit in the next few months.

The Aghajari field has produced oil for more than 60 years. Its current output is 180,000 b/d and it has about 18 billion barrels of reserves.
