Biography: Issa al-Mohannadi is the CEO of Dohaland, a subsidiary of the state-funded non-profit organisation, Qatar Foundation for Education, Science & Community Development. Dohaland is undertaking the $5.5bn regeneration of Qatar’s old capital, using traditional design techniques.
Al-Mohannadi graduated with a degree in natural gas engineering from Texas A&M University in the US. He started his career in 1997 as a process engineer, working in a number of key roles at Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company. He was a part of the commissioning team for its liquefied natural gas trains 1 and 2, and on the design team for train 3.
Al-Mohannadi is the founder and the chairman of the Qatar Green Building Council and holds a master’s certificate in project management from the George Washington University in the US.
