Local developer Istithmar Leisure has awarded three contracts totalling AED 380 million ($104 million) on its Jumeirah Golf Estates scheme. Dubai-based ETA Ascon has won the AED 188 million ($51 million) contract for underground piping work. The local Al-Buraq Contracting has won the AED 174 million (47 million) contract to install electrical and telecoms systems, and street lighting. The local Hennessey Construction will build the Agronomy Centre. The UK's Mott MacDonald is the project manager (MEED 31:8:07).
