Jacobs wins Saudi petrochemicals contract

US group to provide range of engineering services to Sipchem in Al-Jubail

US-based Jacobs Engineering Group has won a three-year contract from Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) to provide engineering services.

Jacobs will provide a range of services for minor capital expenditure (capex) projects at Sipchem’s operations in Jubail Industrial City on Saudi Arabia’s Gulf coast.

Sipchem employs more than 1,100 people and has the capacity to produce 2.2 million tonnes a year (t/y) of petrochemicals including ethylene vinyl acetate, low density polyethylene, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate and cross linkable polyethylene.
