Jeddah corniche hotel tower will have 65 storeys

The local Amias Real Estate Company has invited contractors to submit bids by 15 January for the main construction package on the 65-storey Kempinski hotel planned on Jeddah corniche.

Contractors had been preparing to submit bids in late September for the construction of the 240-metre-high tower. The planned five-star hotel is expected to contain 242 hotel rooms and 104 serviced apartments. The tower has a total built-up area of 79,624 square metres and the site area is about 9,710 sq m.

The hotel tower was designed by the US-based Perkins and Will and the local Mohamad Harasani Architects.

The Kempinski hotel is one of several real estate towers planned or under way in the western city of Jeddah, located on the Red Sea coast.
