Biography: Jason Williams is a chartered civil engineer with more than 20 years’ experience in infrastructure.

He began his career with UK environmental consultant Parkman in 1998, where he worked in the Motorway Maintenance Division. He then became principal engineer in 2000.

Williams was responsible for all infrastructure improvement projects on the UK Highways Agency Area 15 contract. In 2007, he was made divisional director of 2020 Liverpool, a joint venture between Liverpool City Council and UK consultancy Mouchel, where he managed infrastructure improvement programmes.

In 2008, Williams joined WS Atkins Overseas in Qatar as Northern Gulf technical director for infrastructure and transportation. He oversees technical, financial and resource management of the infrastructure team. Key projects are New Doha International airport and Dukhan Highway.
