Joint venture wins Eighth Gate work in Damascus

Emaar IGO has issued a letter of acceptance to the joint venture of Lebanon’s Arabian Construction Company and Dubai-based Arabtec Construction for a $41m construction package on its Eighth Gate Development in Damascus.

The 20-month contract involves the construction of four buildings.

The estimated $500m Eighth Gate development is divided into three zones including a commercial centre, a waterfront and a residential area. Singapore-based DP Architects carried out the masterplan.

Emaar-IGO is a joint venture of Dubai-based Emaar Properties and Invest Group Overseas (MEED 16:6:06).
