Biography: Jonathan A Conner is a banker responsible for managing relationships in the Middle East and heads the Middle East platform in Geneva for the US’ JP Morgan Private Bank. He joined JP Morgan in 2007 from the US’ Citigroup, where he served as chief of staff to the CEO of Citigroup Private Bank. Prior to his role as chief of staff, Conner was based in New York and Geneva, managing private client relationships in the Middle East.

He began his banking career as an associate at JP Morgan in New York in 1988, and joined Citigroup in 1993 in the institutional fixed-income division of the investment bank. In 1996, Conner relocated to Bahrain, joining Citigroup’s treasury marketing unit, marketing derivative products to financial institutions in the Middle East. In 1998, he joined Citigroup’s corporate and investment bank, focusing on regional project finance and relationship management for public and private sector clients in Kuwait.

Conner has a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from Lafayette College in the US and a master’s degree in business administration from Colombia Business School, also in the US, where he was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma academic honor society. He is a member of the board of trustees of the International College in Lebanon.
