Jubail contracts to be awarded within weeks

Six contracts for work at Jubail 2 are due to be awarded in the next two weeks, pending approval from the Finance Ministry and Council of Ministers.

The contracts include site development work for the second stage of Jubail 2, which includes preparatory ground work, road building, cabling and water infrastructure over 12 square kilometres. There are also contracts for housing and the construction of five hose towers.

Other contracts include the engineering construction and procurement contract for a substation at Jubail 2 and the construction of a sea-water cooling piping infrastructure.

Jubail 2 is the extension of Jubail Industrial City, which is located in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia.

The client is Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu.
