Kazakhstan carrier announces changes to flights to UAE

01 November 2010

Kazakhstan’s national carrier, Air Astana, has announced it will start serving the UAE with flights to Abu Dhabi instead of Dubai, due to restrictions imposed by Dubai’s Civil Aviation authorities. The flights are to be operated on daily basis from Almaty and four times a week from Astana by Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft at the same times previously announced for departures to and from Dubai. The carrier said it has made arrangements for its passengers already booked to Dubai and will provide transportation between Abu Dhabi and the city centre of Dubai as well as the airport of Dubai, and will be assisting transit passengers to make their connections to their final destinations.
