Algeria-based petrochemicals company Fertial has awarded US engineering firm KBR a contract to provide licensing and basic engineering design services to revamp its Annaba and Arzew ammonia plants.
Under the terms of the contracts, KBR will supply Fertial with ammonia technology to increase production capacity at the facilities.
The contract value was not disclosed. Expected revenue from the contract will be included in KBRs third-quarter 2014 backlog of unfilled orders for its hydrocarbons segment, the company said.
