Biography: Kevin Hudson joined Dubai-based Maritime Industrial Services in October 2008 and has served on the board of directors since April 2009.

Before joining Maritime Industrial Services, Hudson was the chief executive of Canada’s Irving Shipbuilding and Fleetaway in Nova Scotia, Canada. Between 1998 and 2000, Hudson work for the US’ Brown & Root’s Hellenic Shipyards.

He joined the company from the UK’s Babcock Thorn, where he had worked since 1992. Hudson was hired by Maritime Industrial Services to implement an aggressive growth strategy that the company is currently rolling out across the region. The company specialises in the construction of offshore platforms, as well as the refurbishment of onshore and offshore rigs.

Hudson holds a degree in naval architecture and ship building from Newcastle University in the UK.
