New campus will be built at Academic City
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has awarded the UKs Kier a contract to build a new campus for University of Dubai in the Academic City area for an undisclosed amount, but understood to be about of AED150m ($41m).

The campus will be built on a 273,000-square-metre site in the Academic City area along Emirates Road (formerly the Dubai Bypass Road).
The project involves building three faculty buildings together with infrastructure, parking and landscaping. The total built-up area is 21,200 sq m. For sustainability, the project is targeting a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver rating.
The UKs Faithful & Gould is the project manager.
