The Supreme Commission for Tourism (SCT) has invited companies to submit expressions of interest by 10 September for a national tourism development study. The scope of work will involve identifying areas of potential development, investment opportunities and the possible socio-economic impact of large-scale tourism projects. Over the next eight years, the SCT intends to increase the number of hotel rooms in the kingdom by a third to about 150,000.
