The state-owned South Korean firm will build two 110-kilometre pipelines connecting a gas processing plant at the Kirkuk field in the north of Iraq to the Salah al-Din refinery near Baiji by September 2014. One pipeline will be 18 inches in diameter, carrying liquid petroleum gas (LPG), while the other is a 16-inch dry gas pipeline.
