The project is the tenth phase of a country-wide scheme to replace asbestos sewers.
The company was the low bidder for the contract with an offer of KD17.1m ($64.9m) in mid 2008.
Bids were also submitted by United Gulf Construction Company, Al-Dar Engineering & Construction Company, Kuwait Arab Contractors Company, and Ahmadia Contracting & Trading Company, all local.
The local Green Line General Trading & Contracting is the low bidder for another contract under phase 10, which covers the Jabiriyah area.
The client is the Public Works Ministry.
