National Contracting secures electricity work
The Electricity & Water Ministry has awarded Saudi Arabia’s National Contracting Company (NCC) a KD3.2m ($11m) power transmission contract in Kuwait.
NCC will study, design, install, operate and maintain 11kV overhead lines on Subiya road.
In March, NCC won a contract to build transformers at the Saad al-Abdullah substation. The engineering, procurement and construction contract covers the installation of five 132/11kV transformers at the site.
Separately, the ministry has awarded a KD11.6m cooling contract to the local Kharafi National. The contract covers replacement work as well as the supply, operation and maintenance of a central cooling station at the Al-Zour water pumping station.
