Kuwait delays bids for water work

Electricity & Water Ministry plans pipelines from Mina Abdullah 2 to West Funaitees

Kuwait’s Electricity & Water Ministry has extended the deadline for bids to construct water pipelines from its Mina Abdullah water complex, until 2 February 2010.

Bids were due on 29 September.

The contract covers the construction of five pipelines with a diameter of 1.6 metres to carry water from the Mina Abdullah 2 water complex to West Funaitees.

The ministry has prequalified various local companies for the project.

They are United Gulf Construction Company, Burhan International Company, Canar Trading & Contracting Company, Copri Construction Projects Company, Arabi Energy & Technology Company, Arab Kuwait Contractors Company, Sai General Trading Company, Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction & Contracting, Al-Dar Engineering & Construction Company, Kharafi National, KCC Engineering & Contracting Company, and Combined Group Contracting Company (MEED 16:4:09).
