National Real Estate Company will invite contractors to submit bids for Reem island project
Kuwait’s National Real Estate Company (NREC) is to tender the main construction contract for a AED1.2bn ($327m) residential development in Abu Dhabi on 2 May.
The Carina Views project, which will be located on Reem island, will include four 22-storey towers. The towers will contain 684 residential apartments, community rooms, swimming pools and parking facilities.
The development will have a total built up area of 156,800 square metres. The project is scheduled for completion in 2012.
The local office of KEO International Consultants has been appointed as the main architect for the project.
Germany’s Bauer has been awarded a contract for the enabling works.
NREC is also carrying out the final stages of the design work on their proposed Reem Mall development, says Boubakar Rahmani, general manager, NREC-Abu Dhabi.
“We hope to launch the Reem Mall project in the next few months. The mall will contain a gross leasable area of 200,000 square metres,” he adds.
