Kuwait Dynamics bids low for tank work

25 November 2007
Kuwait Dynamics is low bidder at KD15.9m ($56.8m) for the contract to build five new water storage tanks at Al-Mutalaa Al-Aali.

The low bid is marginally lower than the next best price of KD16.4m ($58.6m) submitted by the local Copri Construction Enterprises. Mohamed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons is ranked third on price at KD16.8m ($60m). Six other local contractors priced the work.
The scope of works covers the engineering, procurement and construction contract to build three ground-water tanks with capacity of 90 million gallons of water and two 55-million-gallon ground-water tanks at Al-Mutalaa Al-Aali (MEED 27:7:07).
The scheme is one of several tendered this year to improve the state’s water storage and distribution capacity. The client on all the projects is the Ministry of Electricity & Water.
