Drug used to treat type II diabetes
Kuwait’s Health Ministry has announced the withdrawal, stoppage and prevention of the circulation of the Avandia drug for type II diabetes, the Kuwait News Agency (Kuna) has reported. The precautionary measure was based on the recommendations of the European and American Drug Administration bodies, on fears it increases the likelihood of heart attacks and strokes, the ministry said.
