Winning bidder will supply, install and operate the gas-fired units
Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity & Water has invited bids to supply, install and operate mobile natural gas-fired turbine units.
The temporary power generation units will enhance the country’s electricity network. Companies have been invited to respond to the request for proposals by 26 June.
The following firms have been prequalified to bid for the contract:
- Pratt & Whitney (US)
- GE (US)
- Turbomach (Switzerland)
- BGT Group (US)
However, BGT Group’s prequalified status is conditional on the company meeting financial prequalification conditions.
A pre-tender meeting will be held on 22 May at the Al-Zour South power station.
