Hotel will be located at new $3bn Sabah al-Salem Campus
Kuwait’s Partnerships Technical Bureau (PTB) has invited companies to prequalify for the contract to provide transaction advisory services for a project to build a hotel at the new Kuwait University campus.
The hotel will be located at the new Sabah al-Salem Campus and will built over a total area of 34,362 square metres. The new campus will be located at Shadadiyah, 20 kilometres west of Kuwait City.
The two College of Arts buildings combined will cover approximately 54,000 square metres and the two College of Education structures will cover a total area of 55,000 sq m. The arts faculty will include a 500-seat auditorium, a multi-purpose hall and dining facilities. The College of Education will contain a 250-seat auditorium, learning resource centre and a dining facility.
When completed, the $3bn Sabah al-Salem integrated campus will comprise more than 25 faculty buildings. It will include a 600-bed hospital, car parks with space for more than 32,000 vehicles, dormitories, sports facilities and auditoriums.
The PTB was set up in 2008 to help government ministries to develop new schemes under the country’s public private partnership (PPP) law.
