Advisers to submit expressions of interest by 30 November
Kuwait has invited expressions of interest from consultants to advise on a national Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) strategy.
The chosen firm will assist the government in scaling up the participation of Kuwait in the global carbon market.
The plan should follow a “learning by doing” approach for CDM activities, as well as preparing for a post-2012 regime and new climate change financing mechanisms in the long-term. The World Bank is to finance the advisory contract.
Consultancy firms have until 30 November to respond to the call for expressions of interest. The selected consultant must start work on the project by 25 January 2011 and conclude the report by May 2011.
